Stars and popsongs

It was nice to visit the Fête de la Musique again during the summer solstice after such a long time. This year, the planetarium was a host for the first time, and I thought it would be a good place to check out—even if the music wasn’t quite my taste.1 It’s probably been over ten years since I last visited a planetarium, so this was a great opportunity to return.

The projections were really impressive, and my mind wandered as I watched stars explode and drifted through nebulas, feeling a bit humbled by the scale of it all. However, the pop songs were a strange addition. Seeing the vast emptiness and wonders of space while someone sang about a broken relationship felt somewhat disconnected.

Still, it was a memorable experience - sometimes the unexpected combinations are the ones you remember most.
